Machine Translation Post-editing
Machine translation is still in its infancy as a programme is rarely capable of decoding the nuanced meaning. Nonetheless, machine translation has its use, for example, with uniform and repetitive material, such as quarterly reports. With a confirmed and regularly updated terminology base, such documents can be processed quickly.
No matter how advanced the translation algorithm is, post-editing is required where a human linguist revises the generated material to ensure it is accurate and appropriate for the intended use.
